DPE Charity Poker Tournament Raises $6,000 for ACE Mentor Program

Last Thursday’s charity poker tournament benefiting the ACE Mentor Program of America was a huge success! With the help of generous attendees, we surpassed our goal and raised over $6,000.00 for an organization near and dear to Dan Puente.

The evening was complete with lively company, throwback 80’s music, and a poker novice showing up the guys to take home the grand prize! Congratulations to Antonya Williams from McCarthy on her impressive first-place win! There’s no shame in a newbie using the poker cheat sheets, as it goes to show. We would like to extend a final thank you to everyone who came out to support the cause. You made the night memorable and inspired us to continue the tradition of DP poker nights benefitting ACE Mentor Program.

ACE, which stands for Architecture, Construction, and Engineering, is a free after-school program that provides mentorships to high-school age students interested in the design and construction industry. Founded in 1994, ACE is construction’s most respected mentoring platform, with nearly 10,000 students participating each year and tens of thousands of alumni who have gone on to pursue careers in the field upon graduation. Since inception, ACE has awarded over $14 million in scholarships to promising participants, and we at DP Electric are excited to contribute to this impressive fund.
