On September 24th, Dan Puente was awarded the Spirit of Enterprise Center ’s Gary L. Trujillo Minority Enterprise Award for 2009.  The Award was given by ASU’s W.P.   Thanks to everyone who came by to see us at GreenBuild, the International Green Building Expo held last month in downtown Phoenix.  We joined several other contractors in celebrating the NetZero House, a Habitat for Humanity project that we helped to reach its lofty goal of total energy efficiency.  The project was awarded LEED Gold, and is a fantastic example of what is possible in sustainable construction.  We are proud to have been a part of the project.

Our current project, the 450,000 SF U.S. Census 2010 Processing Facility, was Project of the Month for Cablofil U.S.A., and then went on to become the Silver Medalist in the International competition, making our project the first U.S. project in 3 years to be recognized internationally by the group.  Look for an article about the award in the June 2009 edition of The Electric Times!

We have been awarded the 2008 Supplier of the Year Award, Class 3, by the Grand Canyon Minority Business Supplier Development Council.  We were doubly honored when the council went on to select Dan Puente, President of DP Electric, as the MBE Advocate of the Year in recognition of his continuing support of the MBE community.
