D.P. Electric was selected by CyrusOne to build out the North Data Hall, a project that required completion within a condensed six week time frame. Additional projects with CyrusOne include a 2.25 MW upgrade and full IST data hall installation of six PDU’s. Upon completion, the data center is expected to become the largest of its kind in the country and will be one of the most advanced data centers in the industry, featuring energy-efficient technology, cutting-edge design, and enterprise-class standards.
The facility has 110 MW of power capacity generated from a substation right on the property which is being built by SRP. The onsite modular data center power capacity from the substation facilitates energy optimization and just-in-time inventory to meet customer demand. CyrusOne’s data center power and redundant cooling architectures use advanced components and are designed with N+1 and 2N parallel redundancies, providing 100 percent uptime with service uninterrupted.
The 2.25MW portion of the project was completed on a 10 week project schedule consisting of (2) chillers, (4) Idec, (14) STS/PDU, and (4) UPS systems. The tight schedule required coordination with the owner on scheduling electrical installation, receiving OFE, CADD/BIM, and commissioning. D.P. Electric finished this project ahead of schedule.
