DP Electric is thrilled to announce the promotion of two exceptional individuals within our leadership ranks. Jay Baiel, previously Controller, has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), while Claudia Perez, previously Assistant Controller, has been promoted to the position of Controller. These advancements are a stepping stone in DP Electric’s future growth plans of succession.
DP Electric takes great pride in nurturing talent from within the organization and these two promotions are a testament to this commitment. Jay Baiel was hired as the Controller in January 2022. Prior to joining D.P. Electric (DPE), Jay spent over 15 years of his career in the construction industry serving in various roles including CFO before spending five years in a large publicly traded aerospace company. Bringing a depth of experience to D.P. Electric’s team, Jay focused on the wellbeing, growth and continuous improvement of the accounting department. Since joining DPE, Jay has built many relationships within the construction industry and currently serves on the board of directors of the Construction Management Association (CFMA). Jay’s dedication to mentorship and internal and external relationships has supported the organic transition to CFO. Jay has also been key in supporting Danielle Puente within her new role as President, which was announced earlier this year.

Simultaneously, Claudia Perez’s promotion to Controller underlines DP Electric’s dedication to recognizing and empowering its exceptional talent. Claudia began her career as a staff accountant in 2016 after graduating from Grand Canyon University with an Accounting degree. Through her hard work, she has moved up the ranks to Senior Staff Accountant, Assistant Controller, and now Controller. Throughout her tenure at DP Electric, she has also been committed to her own personal development and graduated from the Arizona Builders Alliance Women in Leadership Program in December 2022.
These promotions represent more than just a reshuffling of positions; they signify DP Electric’s forward-looking approach and unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of growth and opportunity.
